Poti Sea Port on the Black Sea in Georgia is planning to diversify its operations with two new Gottwald HMK 260 E mobile harbour cranes.
The two new cranes each have a 100t lifting capacity and a maximum radius of 44m. They have been shipped from Gottwald’s factory in Germany and are due to start commercial operations in September. Initially they will be used for container handling alongside ships up to standard class, but Poti Sea Port has said it is considering using them to handle bulk materials in the future. Gottwald said the cranes allow high speed changing of the lifting gear, making them ideal for this specification.
