Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi has issued a decree to extend the East Port Said Port by 20 kilometers.
At a press conference following a meeting with Prime Minister Kamal al-Ganzouri, International Cooperation Minister Fayza Abul-Naga said on Tuesday 8/5/2012 that the extension will contribute to boosting maritime and trade services, as well as investment activities at the harbor.
The project will also create more jobs for Port Said youth, Abul-Naga said, adding this should meet demands of representatives of the Canal city in parliament.
