In January 2009, Vitino port (Archangelsk region) handled 425,900 tonnes of oil products, PortNews IAA learnt from Administration of Archangelsk Sea Port. The seaport Vitino is a private port located in the Archangelsk region It was created as a result of a project on construction of a new port terminal complex to provide services for large- capacity tankers while employing the capacities of the White Sea Oil Centre (Belomorskaja Neftebaza), located on the southwest coast of the Kandalaksha Gulf of the White Sea. The project was financed from non-budgetary sources.
