PORT DICKSON : Nine crew members of a Liberia-registered tanker are still missing following the collision between the tanker and a bulk carrier registered in Great Britain in the Straits of Malacca on Tuesday.
Search and rescue operations, which were stopped at 3am due to rough sea conditions, resumed at 7am Wednesday.
Port Dickson OCPD Supt Mazlan Othman said as of 3am the rescue teams found 17 of the 25 crew thrown into the sea when the tanker M.T.Formosa Product Bride caught fire after the collision. at 10 nautical miles west of Port Dickson.
