Algeria’s Gestramar recently established a programme to purchase 26 new ships for the country’s state-owned shipping company CNAN. The scheme will be implemented over the next four years. CNAN is rejuvenating its fleet in a bid to boost its market share and position itself favourably for the future. The company’s general agent for Europe is ISA Antwerp and its interests in Germany are managed by Eurabia Schiffahrts Agentur in Hamburg.
