  Freighter Grigoriy Petrovskiy sank in Poti port, Georgia

On Feb 7 2011 general cargo Grigoriy Petrovskiy dragged an anchor on outer road of Poti port, Georgia, Black sea, in rough weather, reportedly crew didn’t take necessary measures to prevent drifting. Vessel was pushed on a breakwater, broke in two and sank. Crew 11 (7 Ukranians, 3 Azerbaijan and 1 Russian) safe, rescued by Georgian Coast Guard. Vessel in ballast with 35 mt of fuel, which is now leaking. Heavy weather prevents salvage and cleaning.

Grigoriy Petrovskiy IMO 7011096, dwt 3135, built 1968, flag Ukraine, reportedly vessel sold to unkown interest.
